About the Role
Operate a tufting machine in a global flooring manufacturing environment. This position involves conducting production checklists, verifying backing, performing quality inspections, and addressing defects during production runs.
Responsibilities
- Operate tufting machine and conduct production checklist and backing verification.
- Compare tufted carpet to griege standard.
- Perform quality inspection during production runs, mend voids, and fix other defects in carpets as required.
- Assist with changing backing and doffing carpet rolls.
- Stay informed of applicable OSHA and company guidelines, and proactively identify unsafe working conditions or environmental concerns to report to supervision.
- Attend job-related training as deemed necessary by supervision.
- Follow all established standard operating procedures.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
