Operates tufting machine and performs quality inspection during production runs.

Responsibilities

• Operates tufting machine
• Conducts production checklist and backing verification
• Compares tufted carpet to griege standard
• Performs quality inspection during production runs, mends voids, and fixes other defects in carpets as required
• Assists with changing backing
• Doffs off carpet rolls
• Stays informed of applicable OSHA and company guidelines and operating procedures, and proactively identifies unsafe working, and other environmental conditions to supervisor and/or appropriate department head or crew leader for resolution
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
