Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain tube mill equipment to produce high-quality products in accordance with ASTM standards.
- Monitor the tube mill process, adjusting settings as needed to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Perform high frequency welding operations, ensuring all welds meet company and industry standards.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify product dimensions and make necessary adjustments.
- Carry out regular calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency.
- Document production data, including output, quality checks, and equipment maintenance activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tube mill operator role or similar position in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with ASTM standards, tube mill operations, high frequency welding, precision measuring, and calibration.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to operate and maintain complex machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work well in a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to record and report production data accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training in a related field would be an advantage.
