TSCM Assistant
About the role
MELE Associates is seeking a TSCM Assistant to join their team in Los Alamos, NM. The essential function includes successfully receiving formal training and on-the-job (OTJ) experience to provide TSSC services (either TSCM or TEMPEST) to protect NNSA facilities and assets. The assistant must develop the competency to effectively communicate TSSC requirements/issues to large or small groups of non-technical personnel and assist in the operation and maintenance of sensitive measurement and survey equipment. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Successfully receives formal training and on-the-job (OTJ) and becomes competent in the provision of TSSC services (either TSCM or TEMPEST) to protect NNSA facilities and assets.
- Develops the competency to effectively communicate TSSC requirements/issues to large or small groups of non-technical personnel.
- Affords assistance in the operation and maintenance of sensitive measurement and survey equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in physical security or law enforcement, information systems, network, or cyber security, electronics repair and maintenance, or electrical, RF or wireless engineering.
- Must meet the physical, vision, and hearing requirements for TSCM technicians as per NNSA SD 470.6.
- An undergraduate degree in an information technology, electronics, electronics, telecommunications, computer technology, security, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Must demonstrate the required aptitudes needed to pass the ITC Fundamentals Course and be recommended by a certified TSCM technician/practitioner.
- Active Q or TS clearance with SCI eligibility or favorably adjudicated Tier V personnel security background investigation not more than 4.5 years from proposed entry onto contract.
