Responsibilities

  • Draft and implement sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments.
  • Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, gift and estate tax planning, asset protection, and business succession planning.
  • Counsel fiduciaries regarding trust and estate administration matters.
  • Handle probate and trust administration proceedings from inception through completion.
  • Assist family-owned businesses with succession planning and generational wealth transfer strategies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys in tax, corporate, real estate, and litigation practice groups to provide comprehensive client service.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance regarding federal and Florida estate, gift, trust, and probate laws.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the growth of the firm's Trusts & Estates practice.
  • Participate in networking, business development, and community engagement activities.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 3+ years of trusts and estates experience preferred, though attorneys with more significant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration matters.
  • Knowledge of federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax principles.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage client matters independently while working collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay

$140,000 - $160,000 per year
