Responsibilities

• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives
• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, wealth transfer, and tax-efficient planning
• Handle probate and estate administration matters, including filings, asset distribution, and court proceedings
• Aid in trust administration, including fiduciary guidance and compliance matters
• Counsel high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on succession planning
• Communicate effectively with clients, financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals
• Stay current on developments in Georgia probate law, federal and state tax laws, and estate planning strategies

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar
• 2+ years of experience in trusts and estates law, including estate planning and administration
• Strong understanding of Georgia probate procedures and estate planning techniques
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Client-focused approach with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience advising high-net-worth clients
• Knowledge of federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
• Portable book of business or established referral relationships
• Familiarity with the Greensboro/Lake Oconee community
