Responsibilities
- Drafting and reviewing estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
- Advising clients on the probate process and handling all related matters.
- Providing legal advice on fiduciary duties and obligations in the administration of trusts and estates.
- Representing clients in court proceedings related to trusts and estates.
- Collaborating with tax professionals to ensure efficient tax planning for clients.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations related to trusts and estates.
- Nurturing client relationships and providing exceptional client service.
- Participating in business development activities to expand the firm’s trusts and estates practice.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a focus on wills, probate, fiduciary matters, and powers of attorney.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws related to trusts and estates.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and drafting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional client service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
