Trust & Estates Associate
About the role
The New Jersey office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has an opening for a trust and estate associate with at least 5 years of complex estate planning, estate administration and individual and fiduciary taxation experience. The position provides the opportunity to further develop skills and to be an integral part of our Estate Planning and Administration & Wealth Preservation group.
Responsibilities
- Form non-profit entities and prepare and file related applications for tax-exempt status
- Handle all aspects of Trust Administration, including Fiduciary Accountings and associated court filings
- Form LLCs, corporations, and partnerships in connection with clients’ estate plans, prepare related Operating, Shareholder and Partnership Agreements and transfer documents
- Prepare Federal Gift Tax Returns
- Ameuble ample opportunity for direct client contact
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree LL.M. in Taxation preferred
- Excellent drafting skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Must be bar admitted in the state of New Jersey with dual admission to New York preferred. Pennsylvania is a plus
