Trust & Estates Associate
About the role
We are seeking a talented Trust & Estates Associate to join an established legal practice in Concord, NH. The attorney will support individuals and families with sophisticated estate-planning needs and will work closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of Trusts & Estates matters. Candidates with 3–5+ years of Trusts & Estates experience are preferred. Exceptional attorneys with 1–2 years of experience may also be considered if they demonstrate strong estate-planning drafting skills and overall fit.
Responsibilities
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate-planning documents.
- Assist individuals and families in developing estate-planning strategies tailored to their goals and circumstances.
- Conduct legal research and analyze estate-planning and related legal issues.
- Work closely with experienced Trusts & Estates attorneys on sophisticated matters.
- Participate in client meetings and assist with client communications.
- Review and organize estate-planning documents and related information.
- Develop increasing responsibility for client relationships and assigned matters.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy across multiple matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide high-quality client service.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of Trusts & Estates experience preferred.
- Exceptional candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience drafting wills, trusts, and other estate-planning documents.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent client-service skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with experienced attorneys.
- Strong interest in developing a long-term career in Trusts & Estates law.
