About the role

Responsible for managing trust and estates tax compliance, providing expert advice on complex tax issues, and collaborating with clients and colleagues to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and trusts.
  • Provide strategic tax planning solutions to maximize client benefits and minimize liability.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, accountants, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive estate planning.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations affecting trust and estates.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored tax solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estates tax.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with complex financial data and tax systems.
  • Knowledge of estate planning and trust law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Tax preparation software proficiency (e.g., TurboTax, Xero).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
