Responsibilities

• Build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building facilities according to cut sheets and blueprints that meet NTA‑regulated standards.
• Check parts on the assigned table/press to ensure proper jig setup, cord, parts, and nails per the individual truss blueprint.
• Ensure correct nail placement, overhang, and king post on every unit produced.
• Meet production requirements in a timely manner while maintaining quality of each truss.
• Lift over 50 pounds repeatedly as needed.
• Operate a hydraulic press safely and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with a partner, demonstrating honesty, integrity, a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and teamwork.
• Report directly to the Truss Team Leader and Truss Department Area Coordinator.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret cut sheets and blueprints.
• Physical capability to repeatedly lift more than 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in operating a hydraulic press.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure proper nail placement and truss specifications.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
