Truss Builder

About the role

The Roof Truss Builder is responsible for constructing roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities, ensuring each unit meets approved standards and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read cut sheets and blueprints to build trusses according to specifications.
• Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails per individual truss blueprint.
• Verify proper nail placement, overhang, and king post on every unit produced.
• Meet production requirements in a timely manner while maintaining quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work well with a partner.
• Passion for quality and strong attention to detail.
• Reliability and ability to work at an efficient pace.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
• Displays a positive attitude and models teamwork.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and/or carry over 50 lbs.
• Effectively communicate and exchange information with others.
• Work primarily completed by standing or walking; may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
