Overview Build More Than Trusses—Build Your Career with 84 Lumber Location: 91-B Riverside Dr., Cartersville, GA 84 Lumber is hiring Truss Builders for our fast-paced manufacturing facility in Cartersville, GA. We are seeking experienced candidates as well as motivated individuals ready to learn a skilled trade and grow their careers. If you have experience in construction, framing, carpentry, warehouse operations, landscaping, concrete, roofing, plumbing, painting, or general labor, we encourage you to apply. Builders are responsible for the efficient assembly and manual plating of individual trusses in accordance with shop drawings within the time frame determined by the supervisor and in keeping with the Quality Standards for Roofs and Floors. Schedule 1st shift 6:00am -2:30pm Monday–Friday2nd shift - 3:30pm-12:00am Overtime may be available, including Saturdays Responsibilities Assemble roof and floor trusses using jigs, nail guns, and hand toolsRead and interpret engineered drawings and blueprintsMaintain quality, safety, and production standardsWork in a team environment to meet daily production goals Qualifications At least 3 years of Truss Builder experienceAbility to read a tape measure and use power toolsAbility to lift up to 50–75 lbs repeatedlyAbility to stand for long periodsStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Requirements (Read Carefully) Must be 18+Must show up on time, every dayMust have reliable transportationMust be able to work 8–10 hour shifts on your feetMust be able to read a tape measureMust be comfortable working in heat, cold, and dustMust be willing to work overtime when needed Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation, sick time, and holidays401(k) with company match and profit sharingMonthly performance bonusesEmployee discountsCareer advancement opportunities Conditions of Employment Background check required (no felonies within past 7 years)Drug screening requiredMust be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify employer)Must bring your own 22 oz hammer and tape measureWork boots required on day oneNo facial hair (must meet safety/PPE requirements) Why Work at 84 Lumber? Position plates properly. Operate gantry. Verify lumber accuracy with sheets. Verify truss set up is accurate. Perform daily operator maintenance. Maintain 100% crew efficiency. Mark individual trusses when required. Train Builder Associates. Qualifications Able to read and write in their primary language. Able to stand for long periods of time. Able to read or able to learn to read a set up sheet.
