Truck Mechanic
Job Description
A-Core is looking for an experienced full-time truck mechanic to join the team in their fast-paced Shop working on a variety of trucks ranging from light duty pickups to semi-trucks. Most of their fleet consists of Ford F350-F750’s. Experience with Ford 6.7 highly desired. Daily activities range from preventative maintenance (PM’s) to technical repairs. You will be responsible for accurate record keeping, paperwork, ordering parts, research solutions, and updating systems for maintenance reminders. Many opportunities to learn and grow. Experience with Eptura (Manager Plus) and J-Pro Fleet Software are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance and technical repair
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections including DOT
- Maintain a clean work area for safety and efficiency
- Timely completion of work orders with accuracy and detail
- Research and order parts, maintaining an inventory to complete work timely
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working on trucks
- Must pass Drug Screen
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must have a good driving record (MVR)
- Must have own tools
- Able to lift 75 lbs.
- Able to perform data entry on a PC/tablet
- Able to follow processes
- Organized and responsible
- Self-motivated and punctual
