Truck Driver - Local Class A No Touch - Penske Logistics

Hazmat endorsement required upon hire. No-touch, drop-and-hook local routes with home daily.

About the role

Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. 10 stops per week on average.

Schedule

• Dispatch time: 4 PM
• 5-day schedule
• Average 55 hours per week
• Home daily

Responsibilities

• Deliver products safely and on time
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with accounts
• Represent Penske and client brands while driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (required by federal law 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location
• Complete Penske employment application, background investigation, and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area

Pay

$82,051 average annual salary. Paid every Friday.
