Truck Driver - Local Class A Hiring Event 8/19 - Penske Logistics

Average annual pay: $94,000 to $114,000 plus a $3,000 annual safety bonus.

Join a team of professional truck drivers delivering palletized groceries to local grocery stores. Represent Penske and its clients while driving late-model Penske Truck Leasing vehicles equipped with best-in-class comfort and safety features, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Responsibilities

• Deliver palletized groceries to local grocery stores (pallet breakdown not required)
• Follow all federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and safety standards
• Operate vehicles safely and maintain a constant state of alertness
• Accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others
• Work the required schedule and location

Schedule

• 4 or 5-day work week with an 11 PM start time
• $200 incentive for working a 5th and/or 6th day
• Local routes with home daily

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Must pass a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
• Must complete Penske employment application

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see and hear, with specific vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to touch, handle, and feel
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
