About the role
This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks, end dumps, and/or belly dumps (with and without pups/trailers and tarping systems). Drivers will deliver all types of aggregates, asphalt, and other materials to residential and commercial locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate end dumps and/or belly dumps (with and without pups) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain time and material records.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates.
- Maneuver and back with pup trailer.
- Communicate effectively using the radio system.
- Connect and disconnect pup trailer.
Requirements
- Previous construction industry driving experience.
- High school diploma or GED; one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A with appropriate endorsements.
- Valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
- Incident-free driving record preferred.
- May be subject to drug and alcohol testing, medical exams, and physical agility testing.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold/heat.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
