Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Grimes, IA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay
- $975 or more per week
- Paid weekly
- Hours per week: 40 hours
- Paid training
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Start time: 6:00 AM
- Home daily
- Deliver solo in IA
Equipment & freight
- Straight truck (16' - 26')
- Trailer type: Straight trucks
- Equipment: Pallet jack and liftgate
- Ryder will train you on all equipment needed
- Freight: Touch – auto parts
- Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position is for a straight truck or box truck)
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Must have verifiable driving experience: 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Responsibilities
- Safely driving a vehicle within compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records
- Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Other tasks as assigned
