Truck Driver - Class A Shuttle - Penske Logistics

About the role

Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver position with Penske Logistics, offering $26.40 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours, averaging about $70,000 annually. Work is home daily with a Monday‑through‑Friday schedule starting at 7:00 AM dispatch, local shuttle runs and dock deliveries, stable year‑round work. You’ll drive late‑model Freightliner and Volvo trucks (including Penske Truck Leasing units) equipped with best‑in‑class comfort specs and inward‑ and outward‑facing in‑cab cameras for safety.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle aluminum products safely between locations
• Make dock deliveries and pickups
• Secure and unsecure loads
• Perform occasional tarping as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations
• Conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non‑excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3‑year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Ability to comply with federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• English language proficiency required (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to work the required schedule, at the specific location, complete application, background check, and drug screening
• Ability to maintain constant alertness and operate safely in a safety‑sensitive role
• Physical demands: see and hear; close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment; frequently move, stand, walk, sit; use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach; regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit vehicle and rear cargo area
