Truck Driver CDL Class A Regional

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver based in Corsicana, TX, operating solo routes across TX, OK, LA, AR, MS, NM, KS, MO, and CO. You will drive well‑maintained sleeper or day‑cab tractors pulling 48′, 53′, or 57′ dry‑van trailers hauling touch‑hardware freight. Ryder provides training on all equipment, reimburses endorsement costs (including Hazmat), and offers a supportive environment with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 locations nationwide. Overnights are covered in Ryder‑booked hotels or sleeper cabs, and you’ll have access to a manual pallet jack and lift gate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load and unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Act as the captain of your truck, making safety decisions while your job is protected.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide a valid Class A CDL with any required endorsements.
• Have verifiable Class A tractor‑trailer experience: either 9 months within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Willing to obtain Hazmat endorsement post‑hire (reimbursement provided).

Pay

• Weekly pay: $1,685 or more.
• Solo miles pay: $0.59 per mile (≈2,050 miles per week).
• Solo stops pay: $25.50 per stop (≈14 stops per week).
• Per diem: $30.00 per night (3‑4 nights per week).
