About the Role

Join Penske as a full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver on a dedicated daytime shuttle route. This position offers home daily with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and an average annual pay of $70,200. A Hazmat endorsement is required, with 90 days provided upon hire to obtain it.

You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with best-in-class specs for comfort, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a dedicated shuttle route transporting trailers and equipment for the customer.
  • Perform deliveries and truck/trailer moves as needed.
  • Complete multiple stops and transfers throughout the week.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • 5-day work week with weekends off.
  • Approximately 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL required; applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years.
  • 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • English language proficiency as required by federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)).
  • Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location.
  • Complete Penske employment application, background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening.
  • This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and is safety-sensitive; associates must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting required.
  • Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
