Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics

Immediate opportunities for local, full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Earn $27 per hour plus overtime after 10 hours in a day with drop-and-hook, no-touch freight. Home daily.

About the role

You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort. Vehicles are equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. Shuttle routes between manufacturing facilities for a major auto manufacturer, averaging 5 to 25 stops per week. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.

Schedule

• 5-day work week
• AM or PM dispatch, depending on a bidding process based on seniority
• Sunday through Thursday or Monday through Friday schedule

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (required by federal law, 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location
• Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others

• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg; may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
