Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Bowling Green, KY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay

$1,230 or more per week with additional bonuses:

  • Shutdown Bonus: $2,000 in first year
  • Sign On Bonus: $1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days
  • Safety Bonus: $250 per quarter (if applicable)

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
  • Start Time: Flexible with AM and PM shifts
  • PM Shift for first 2 years with 11 hours of daily drive time
  • Local route, home daily

Route & Equipment

  • Deliver solo to KY and TN
  • Tractor Type: Day Cab
  • Trailer Type: Dry Van 53’
  • Freight: No Touch – Auto Parts
  • Strong backing skills required
  • Company paid scale bypass
  • Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance
  • Company drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
  • Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Note: Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
