Truck Driver CDL A No Touch

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Roanoke, VA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.76 per mile with 1800 - 2100 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $17.50 per stop with 4 - 8 stops per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50 per night
• Sign-on Bonus: $3000 ($1500 at 30 days, $1500 at 90 days)
• Loyalty Bonus: $3500 ($1750 at 6 months, $1750 at 1 year)
• Weekly pay starting at $1850 or more

Schedule

• Home weekly, rotating schedule — longer runs every other week
• Start time: AM or PM

Route & Equipment

• Deliver solo to 48 states
• No-touch freight: chicken
• Tractor: sleeper, 36 months or newer
• Trailer: 53' reefer
• 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
