Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily Solo

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Imperial, PA for local home daily routes delivering to PA, MD, and WV. Drivers operate well-maintained, safe day cab automatic trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.

Flatbed load securement experience is preferred. Trailer types include 48' flatbed and sometimes straight truck.

Pay

• Weekly Guarantee: $1,450 or more per week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.59 per mile with 1,100+ miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $16.39 per stop with 60 stops per week
• Tenure Bonus: $1,200 annually, paid as $300 quarterly

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Start Time: 4:00 AM - 6:00 AM
• Home daily

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
