Truck Driver CDL A - Dedicated Local
Slide into the driver’s seat with NFI’s dedicated dry van fleet. Handle drop-and-hook and unload freight on local routes in late-model trucks with advanced technology, and be part of a team that makes every mile count.
Pay
Weekly pay of $1,100–$1,200.
Schedule
Local routes, home daily (night shift position).
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties safely and responsibly.
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards, and guidelines.
- Handle dedicated dry van freight: unload.
- Delivery to the following cities: PA, MD, NJ, NY (Long Island City, Bronx, Queens, etc.), and VA.
- Report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during, and after the route.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
- Perform routes, pickups, and deliveries based on customer requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Current Class A CDL from your state of residence.
- Minimum one year of relevant tractor-trailer experience.
- Acceptable references from past employers.
- Meet all applicable DOT qualifications.
- Physically capable of performing all job duties, which include moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting. Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
