What You'll Do
- Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers
- Conduct daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post trip inspections of truck and cargo
- Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region
- Follow all safety rules and always wear required PPE
- Inventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and condition
- Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time
- Maintain vehicle service and repair logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Operate vehicles using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and safety dashcams (training provided)
- Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, use of sideboard kits and safely ascending/descending of truck and/or trailer
- Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulations
- Work flexible hours and be available based on business needs
What You'll Need
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- No DUI/DWI within the past five years
- At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred)
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
- Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing
- No more than one moving violation in the past three years
- Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspections
Your Education
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
