Truck Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Cook up the dispatch of trucks and drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Optimize routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status
• Maintain a watchful eye on shipments to ensure they arrive on time
• Handle any issues or demands that come up during the transportation process
• Guide and oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and disbursements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of truck dispatching experience
• Ability to work on call as needed
• Experience with transportation software

• Experience with Trimble or Samsara

About the Role

You will report directly to our Logistics Manager and you'll work out of our Geismar, LA location. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our trucking operations, ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in the most cost-effective manner. You will work closely with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the transportation process.
