About the role
The Michigan State Police Trooper Explorer Program is an educational youth initiative aimed at introducing individuals to a career in law enforcement through training and mentorship from Michigan State Police members.
Responsibilities
- Attend bi-weekly meetings at your assigned post for up to four hours.
- Participate in classroom instruction, scenario-based training, or specialty team demonstrations.
- Engage in leadership training, experience in leadership roles, and public speaking.
- Volunteer at community events.
- Participate in competitions with other police explorer programs.
Requirements
- Must be between the ages of 14 - 21 years old.
- Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- No felony convictions.
- Excellent moral character.

- Education and experience requirements are met.
