About the role
The SSS Academic Success Coach supports the day-to-day administration of the TRIO SSS Program and implements an enrollment management framework.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in developing the mission, strategic goals, and day-to-day administration of SSS.
- Coordinate aspects of SSS Program including academic and social advising, targeted initiatives, and programs related to learning, retention, and satisfaction.
- Coordinate recruitment of eligible scholars in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Maintain monitoring of academic progress of scholars through progress reports and alerts.
- Develop key partnerships with external constituents and serve as liaison to university partners.
- Support the completion of annual reporting, assessment, and evaluation, and compile scholar rosters and agreements.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate part-time hires, graduate assistants, interns, and student workers.
- Conduct assessments and utilize data from standardized assessment tools and in-house data collection to ensure program effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of two years of full-time experience in higher education or related academic support services.
- Experience working with first-generation, low-income, and/or students with documented disabilities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with data entry, management, and reporting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Gmail, Outlook).
- Preferred: Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience coordinating college programs or activities for academically at-risk student populations.
- Previous experience working with TRIO SSS or similar state or federally funded programs.
- Demonstrated experience advocating for students and facilitating connections to university or community resources.
- Proficiency with database management systems such as Canvas, Blumen, Navigate, or Banner.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Canva or similar platforms.

Pay
$63,833.23 - $70,221.74 Annually
