About the role

The SSS Academic Success Coach supports the day-to-day administration of the TRIO SSS Program and implements an enrollment management framework.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in developing the mission, strategic goals, and day-to-day administration of SSS.
  • Coordinate aspects of SSS Program including academic and social advising, targeted initiatives, and programs related to learning, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate recruitment of eligible scholars in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Maintain monitoring of academic progress of scholars through progress reports and alerts.
  • Develop key partnerships with external constituents and serve as liaison to university partners.
  • Support the completion of annual reporting, assessment, and evaluation, and compile scholar rosters and agreements.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate part-time hires, graduate assistants, interns, and student workers.
  • Conduct assessments and utilize data from standardized assessment tools and in-house data collection to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time experience in higher education or related academic support services.
  • Experience working with first-generation, low-income, and/or students with documented disabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with data entry, management, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Gmail, Outlook).
  • Preferred: Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience coordinating college programs or activities for academically at-risk student populations.
  • Previous experience working with TRIO SSS or similar state or federally funded programs.
  • Demonstrated experience advocating for students and facilitating connections to university or community resources.
  • Proficiency with database management systems such as Canvas, Blumen, Navigate, or Banner.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Canva or similar platforms.

Pay

$63,833.23 - $70,221.74 Annually
