Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew.
  • Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
  • Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training.
  • Communicates with property owners about work to be done and responsibilities.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports on crew performance.
  • Controls crew costs and manages resources effectively.
  • Furnishes reports to supervisors on various operational matters.
  • Assists with emergency situations and maintains public safety.
  • Maintains equipment and performs necessary repairs.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT maintenance and inspection requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of line clearance industry drawings and symbols.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to adjust to field requirements and take independent action.
  • Safe driving ability, including handling heavy equipment.
  • No fear of heights.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • At least 3120 hours of working experience in the line clearance industry.

Physical Requirements

  • RARE: crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • OCCASIONAL: standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing on/off truck, reading.
  • FREQUENT: walking, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.
  • CONTINUOUS: speaking clearly, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.
