Trimmer A
Locations: Oklahoma City, OK and additional sites in Choctaw, Chandler, Shawnee, Tecumseh, Seminole, Norman, El Reno, Woodward, Alva, Enid, and Guthrie. Work is performed on-site.
About the Role
Trim and remove trees, eliminate unwanted, diseased, or dying limbs, and enhance the health and safety of trees and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Climb trees using both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
- Operate as an active crew member alongside ground crew and foreman.
- Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients, including:
- Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
- Installation of cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
- Removal of hazardous trees.
- Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors.
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
- Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
Qualifications
Preferred backgrounds include:
- Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping.
- Experience working at heights.
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
