Groomer

About the role

Do your dog have a closet full of clothes? Is your cat so cool he needs to wear shades? We call that “petcentricity”! If you enjoy making pets look adorable and smell irresistible, we are looking for experienced groomers to join our pack.

Responsibilities

• Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services, including brushing, bathing, and conditioning.
• Groom and style pets per owners’ instructions and/or according to breed standards.
• Ensure the wellness and safety of all furry patrons.
• Develop long‑term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services.
• Conduct community outreach to attract new neighbors into the store.
• Successfully complete Safety Training certification.
• Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Assist store team members during grooming downtime.
• Continue developing grooming skills and techniques while growing your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
• Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers, blades, scissors, etc.).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass drug screening (where applicable) and be 18 years or older.

Pay

This is a commission‑based role with a guaranteed minimum. Maximum pay may vary based on hours worked and weekly completed grooming services. New groomer hires with 1 + years of experience receive a $1,500 sign‑on bonus.
