Trial Lawyer (Remote)

About the role

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Litigation Attorney (US) to work on a contract basis to handle legal disputes, provide strategic counsel, and represent the company in court proceedings. The role involves analyzing case law, drafting legal documents, and negotiating settlements. Experience with federal and state court litigation is required.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze legal precedents, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation.
• Draft, review, and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents in compliance with court rules.
• Represent the company in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop case strategies and assess legal risks.
• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters and potential exposures.

Requirements

• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state jurisdiction is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, including trial experience, is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills with the ability to draft clear, persuasive legal arguments.
• Experience with federal and state court procedures and rules of evidence is essential.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or Bloomberg Law is required.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex legal issues and identify key arguments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed legal environment is a plus.
