About the role
We are hiring for a part-time remote Triage RN to work on-call shifts, including every other weekend.
Schedule
- Saturday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (every other weekend)
- Saturday 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (every weekend)
Pay
$40 per hour
Responsibilities
- Take triage calls from various Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Care (MC) sites during non-business hours and on weekends.
- Document direction and necessary information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for the site clinical team to follow up on.
- Prepare activity and incident reports for the site Clinical Team(s) to analyze call volume and identify potential training needs for site staff to work safely and efficiently.
- Participate in investigations and/or surveys involving after-hours calls.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented approach and a healthy work environment for those relying on your expertise.
Requirements
- Maintain a current state license as a Registered Nurse per state regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to self-start and follow through on initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit a caring heart with a passion for caring for the elderly.
- Possess strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using an EHR, specifically Eldermark and PointClickCare.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy for onsite staff and residents.
- Confidence in clinical knowledge and decisiveness.
- Good understanding of pharmacology, basic first aid, and blood glucose monitoring.
- Past supervisory experience is a plus.
