Position Overview
The Cardiology Phone Triage Nurse position at Capital Cardiology Associates supports patients in the Troy and Albany offices. This role provides exceptional care in a flexible environment with four 10-hour shifts, including hybrid or remote options after 90 days of training.
Responsibilities
- Perform phone triage for patients with cardiovascular symptoms, answering questions and providing clinical guidance.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and concerns to determine the need for further intervention, appointments, or urgent care.
- Provide education to patients on cardiology conditions, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventative care.
- Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and the healthcare team to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, offering guidance and comfort when needed.
- Assist in coordinating follow-up care and appointments for patients as needed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in NY
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic and clear guidance over the phone
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage urgent situations calmly

Pay and Benefits
The pay range is set between $40.00-$42.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Health, dental, and FSA plans are available, along with voluntary supplemental benefits options. Generous 401k contributions and tuition reimbursement opportunities are also provided.
