Triage Licensed Practical Nurse | Physical Medicine & Rehab | Day Shift | Full-time

About the role

Provide high-level, patient-centered care in a physician office setting. Responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams and procedures, and assisting healthcare providers during exams and procedures. You will also support patients during exams, maintain medical supply inventory, and stock exam rooms.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide direct patient care
• Process patient phone calls according to practice protocols
• Instruct patients regarding health care and treatments
• Provide healthcare providers with information about patients' health status
• Float to other UFHP practices as needed for staffing

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license eligible to practice in the State of Florida
• AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required (or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment)
• Must maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Must successfully complete a medication test within 30 days of hire

Qualifications

• One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to multitask
• Excellent patient and customer service skills
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Team-focused approach
