About the role
The Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Population Health Sciences (PHS) at the University of Utah School of Medicine seeks an Associate or Full Professor-level faculty member to serve as the director of the University of Utah's Translational Research: Implementation, Analysis and Design (TRIAD) Team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the director of the University of Utah's TRIAD Team, overseeing and developing the team, collaborating with biomedical researchers, and supporting and developing grant proposals.
- Advise graduate students and perform methodological research.
- Teach in the Biostatistics Ph.D. emphasis in the PHS Ph.D. program.
- Lead multi-disciplinary research teams within the institution and in national and international research networks.
- Pursue independent and collaborative methodological research in Biostatistics.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in biostatistics or a related discipline is required.
- Demonstrated excellence in collaborative and methodological research.
- Post-doctoral training and/or experience is desired.
Qualifications
- Methodological interest and experience in areas such as design and analysis of observational studies, design and analysis of clinical trials, causal inference, implementation science methodology, data integration, machine learning, 'omics (e.g., metabolomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics), social/behavioral science, and longitudinal and multilevel data analysis.
