Tree Pruner/Arborist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tree pruning, canopy work, and structural pruning following industry best practices
• Assist with tree removal, shrub pruning, mulch installation, and stump grinding as needed
• Work safely at height — climbing and/or operating aerial equipment — while following all safety protocols
• Operate small engine equipment including chain saws, pole saws, shears, and string trimmers
• Function effectively as both a team member and an independent operator depending on the task
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding the scope, process, and expectations of services

Requirements

• Forestry, horticulture, or a related field is a plus — as is prior industry experience
• All candidates must be able to meet the following:
• A High School Diploma or GED
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift 50+ lbs. and walk 3+ miles per day
• Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
• Willingness to learn how to climb and work aloft safely
• Ability to obtain DOT certification & pass drug screenings
• Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a professional tree care, landscaping, or forestry environment
• Familiarity with ANSI A300 pruning and safety standards
• Experience operating aerial lifts or bucket trucks

Safety-Sensitive Position

• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of vehicles and equipment
• All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment
• Candidates must meet all screening requirements as a condition of employment
