Tree Pruner/Arborist/Groundsman

Responsibilities

• Perform tree pruning, canopy work, and structural pruning following industry best practices
• Absorb and assist with tree removal, shrub pruning, mulch installation, and stump grinding as needed
• Operate safely at heights using aerial equipment and small engine equipment such as chain saws, pole saws, shears, and string trimmers
• Communicate professionally with clients about the scope, process, and expectations of services
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site throughout each project

Requirements

• Forestry, horticulture, or a related field is a plus, but not required
• Prior industry experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and walk 3+ miles per day
• Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
• Ability to climb and work aloft safely
• Must be able to obtain DOT certification, pass background check, and drug screenings
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong team-player mindset with a commitment to safety

Preferred Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist credential (or actively working toward certification)
• Prior experience in a professional tree care, landscaping, or forestry environment
• Familiarity with ANSI A300 pruning and safety standards
• Experience operating aerial lifts or bucket trucks

Skills
