Treatment Technician/Night Monitor - Weekends Required

About the role

This position involves providing basic quality care and non-technical services for clients, optimizing their safety, and adhering to facility policies. The role requires flexibility in shift work, typically 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Observes all client activities throughout the day.
• Utilizes appropriate behavior management techniques to prevent dangerous or violent behavior of clients.
• Makes sure clients adhere to Burning Tree's guidelines both on and off campus.
• Makes sure clients take their medications correctly and reports any issues to the Operations Manager.
• Monitors the behavior of clients while off campus and documents observations and infractions.
• Collects urine specimens and alcohol/drug test results, documents them, and reports any issues to the Operations Manager.
• Conducts medication inventory nightly and assists with client appointments and transportation.
• Drives clients to outside meetings and picks up new clients at airports or other treatment facilities.
• Participates in Quality Management process and performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs living quarter checks and security checks of premises, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Reports any unusual activity, safety risks, or client care urgent needs to the Operations Manager or Program Director.
• Follows the office cleaning schedule nightly.
• Assists with office tasks such as collecting mail and preparing meals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience in a healthcare/rehab setting preferred.
• CPR certified preferred.
• Ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule.
• General knowledge and understanding of substance abuse treatment.
• Knowledge and understanding of 12-Step philosophy and applications.
• Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills.
