About the role
A Dental Treatment Coordinator is needed to assist our office with excellent organizational and administrative skills. The ideal candidate is compassionate, discreet, and possesses superb time management and record-keeping skills. This role contributes to the efficient day-to-day administration of the healthcare facility and requires working comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Be present during consultation exams to understand patient treatment needs.
- Handle objections to proposed treatment.
- Present case fees and financial options to patients to facilitate treatment decisions.
- Present or co-present the treatment plan and consent.
- Educate patients regarding their dental benefits.
- Determine dental benefit eligibility, limitations, and payment estimates to facilitate financial arrangements.
- Ensure patients are up to date on their financial obligations.
- Verify treatment plans, estimates, and insurance information are accurate before scheduling treatment.
- Submit and track dental insurance pre-authorizations and predeterminations.
- Coordinate with medical insurance carriers for hospital-based treatment requiring medical pre-authorizations.
- Perform regular front office duties: answering phones, scheduling patients, checking patients in and out, collecting payments, and assisting with daily office operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Dental Office.
- Previous experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology (Oral Surgery is a plus).
- Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
- Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.

Special Requirements
- Working on-site is essential to the function of this position.
- Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time at minimum.
- Physical requirements include sitting, stooping, turning, standing, bending, walking, hearing, reading, writing, and keyboarding; may lift up to 25 lbs.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, day shift. Must be local and able to commute daily.
