About the Role

Selective Insurance's Ignite Internship Program is an 11-week, full-time experience at our corporate office in Short Hills, NJ. Responsibilities

• Participate in the preparations for the annual budgeting cycle, providing insight into the financial management process of the company
• Review variance reporting across the organization to ensure departments are meeting their expense targets, helping to establish the following year budget
• Learn about different functions and aspects of Selective and the insurance industry from a risk perspective
• Support daily Treasury operations, including liquidity forecasting, bank account administration, and financial reporting
• Perform financial analysis and assist with projects related to investments, capital management, banking relationships, and process improvements

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student majoring in Finance or a related field
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry
• High School Diploma required
• Ideal candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution's requirements

Pay

USD $22.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
