About the role

The Treasury team sources and negotiates bespoke financing for Illiquid Private Credit investments (aka Single Asset Financing). They are also responsible for mitigating the impact of currency and interest rate volatility on investments, overseeing all currency and interest rate hedging, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations. The Treasury team works closely with Investment teams, Deal Execution, Fund Accounting, and Fund Finance teams to ensure liquidity management and optimization of resources.

HPS is seeking an Associate-level candidate to join the Treasury team in New York to support the Private Financing Solutions (PFS) platform. The role will include operational support for credit trading activity.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Head of Treasury and assist in coordination of activities across the team.
  • Support portfolio liquidity reporting for Public Credit Trading Funds involving Prime Brokerage, Loan Facilities, and structured financing vehicles.
  • Fulfill ISDA and bespoke financing reporting requirements.
  • Provide operational support for credit trading activity.
  • Assist AML-KYC onboarding and required documentation of new fund launches.
  • Resolve trade-related problems such as trade breaks, allocation, and settlement issues.
  • Liaise with various counterparties on treasury issues impacting the Fund’s investment portfolio.
  • Support daily position reconciliation, trade settlement, and valuation of traded hedge assets.
  • Maintain data integrity of internal trade capture, risk, and performance reporting systems.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects (Treasury Management System Onboarding, Exposure Reporting, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a Business-related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience in credit-based financial services.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to work hard and be on a steep learning curve.
  • Diligence with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
  • Willingness to work on and learn new software applications.
  • Ability to liaise with different infrastructure teams and investment professionals.
  • Knowledge of VPM, Microsoft Power BI, and Bloomberg preferred.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards, personally and professionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay

The salary range for this position in New York, NY is USD $105,000.00 - USD $135,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy, and total compensation may vary based on role, location, firm, department, and individual performance.

Schedule

BlackRock’s hybrid work model requires employees to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. New joiners can expect this hybrid model to accelerate learning and onboarding.
