About the Role

Special Education Assistant position supporting students in a K-6 elementary school setting.

Pay

Hourly rate: $23.11 - $28.17 (Range 22).

Schedule

• 9.5-month work year (204 paid days).
• Part-time, 5 days per week.
• 3.75 hours per day:
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Wednesday: 10:15 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Open to PYLUSD permanent employees, substitutes, and external applicants.
• Interviews will begin with permanent applicants qualified for an interview.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• At least two references must be provided on the application.

Qualifications

Must meet one of the following:

• Completion of 48 units of college coursework,
• AA degree or higher, or
• Passage of Instructional Aide Testing (ESSA).

Testing available through Human Resources; must be obtained before applying. Submit a copy of transcript (degree or unofficial showing 48+ units) or proof of ESSA passage. Current resume required.
