Traveling Supply Chain Ops Specialist

About the role

We are immediately hiring a Traveling Supply Chain Operations Specialist, for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily/shift goals of facility and work group(s).
• Communicate and report plans to obtain operational goals.
• Aid in the development of system and process training for employees in the work group(s).
• Perform operational administrative functions to support location activities and / or customer.
• Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
• Support and aid in the development of system and process training for employees in the work group(s).
• May interact with carriers and/or the customer based on the complexity and scope of the account.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with automotive manufacturing materials management/movement is preferred.
• Flexibility for 90% travel.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) intermediate preferred.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) intermediate required.
• Experience with OSHA intermediate required.
• Experience with DOT and Hazmat (based on the account) intermediate preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED
• One (1) year or more in logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• One (1) year or more Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with employees, peers and management.
• Strong organizational, follow-up and computer skills required.
• Ability to work self directed with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage individual performance and employee relations.
• Ability to use sound judgement when information is incomplete or ambiguous.

Pay

Pay Type: Exempt
Target Salary: $55,000 - $62,000/year

Schedule

Schedule: Monday-Friday, and weekends as needed
Flexibility needed to work weekend days as necessary to meet business needs
