Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met.
- Travel throughout the country. Typical two-week schedule is 10 days on and 4 days off.
- Review blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions in order to execute appropriate bids.
- Lead team with construction project planning and developing site logistics.
- Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and safety guidelines are met.
- Utilize good time management to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Keep daily and weekly work logs.
- Coverage of all construction activities.
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
- Work directly with owner's representative at times and maintain a professional and client facing attitude.
- Ensure proper signage is posted on the construction job site and in jobsite office.
- Review subcontractor scopes and bids to ensure that all construction activities are accounted for.
- Schedule inspections as needed along the jobsite.
- Maintain as strong a relationship as possible with local municipalities for potential future business.
- When necessary, assist project management team with negotiation and solicitation of subcontractors.
- Maintain and enforce company safety policy and procedures.
- Must attain OSHA 30 certificate.
Qualifications
- 8+ Years Project Superintendent experience
- 3+ Years construction experience, preferably light-industrial, warehouses, and cold storage projects
- Ability to collaborate with clients, PMs, and other management teams to establish budgets and timelines
- Strong knowledge of on-site safety and security standards
- Proficiency with scheduling, delegating tasks, budgeting, and negotiating contracts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks at once
- Excellent time-management and scheduling skills to complete tasks ahead of deadlines
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license to visit worksites across the assigned territory
