About the role

An established, mid-west based general contracting firm seeks an experienced traveling superintendent to oversee high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects across different markets
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and field crews
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and clients
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a superintendent in commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and scheduling
  • Ability to travel regularly to job sites across different regions
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage field crews and subcontractors
  • Solid understanding of safety standards and commitment to enforcing safety protocols
  • Proficient in construction documentation, reporting, and communication
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training preferred
  • Experience with construction management tools and software preferred
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between project locations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction or similar field
