Responsibilities

  • Directly manage construction and administrative activities associated with field operations to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and per specifications.
  • Enforce all Safety and Quality Control policies and procedures while implementing company policies and regulations.
  • Attend post-award review meetings to receive project details for preplanning prior to construction.
  • Participate with the project manager in preparing a construction schedule, organization structure, staff selection, and equipment requirements.
  • Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications, time schedules, and expected profit margins.
  • Assist the project manager/engineer with prompt shipment of materials, approvals of shop drawings, and material samples.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities to align with project schedules and progress.
  • Inform supervisors and subcontractors of any construction schedule changes.
  • Assist in preparing job progress and cost reports to reflect actual costs accurately.
  • Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports.
  • Cooperate with owners and their representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress.
  • Maintain amicable cooperation with architects or owner representatives in the company’s long-term interest.
  • Hold jobsite meetings with the project manager and regional manager.
  • Report regularly to the project manager on job progress, plans, and potential cost/schedule issues.
  • Maintain a daily diary to record significant project facts, events, conditions, and commitments.
  • Direct adherence to the company’s safety program across all project phases and areas.

Requirements

  • 5–25 years of experience as a lead superintendent on tilt-up construction projects, preferably on jobs of at least 100,000 sq. ft.
  • Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage people, tools, equipment, and multiple activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct others and address conflict effectively.
  • Commitment to quality, using customer input to drive improvements and exceed expectations.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
  • Act with integrity, supporting company values and maintaining focus on customer requirements.
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Working Conditions

The majority of work is completed on job sites in an office trailer or existing structure. Due to daily condition changes, appropriate personal protective equipment is required when outside the office trailer or structure, per company safety policies and weather conditions.

Pay

Base compensation range: $110,000 – $150,000 USD. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. The role is also eligible for discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
