We're seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on complex commercial, federal, and mission-critical construction projects throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who thrives in the field, enjoys managing complex projects, and is committed to delivering exceptional results in highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Supervise subcontractors and coordinate all field operations.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
  • Conduct site inspections and enforce safety and quality control programs.
  • Maintain daily reports, project logs, punch lists, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and help drive schedule adherence.
  • Support projects for federal agencies, critical infrastructure, and other regulated environments.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork on every project.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong experience in field supervision, subcontractor management, and project execution.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Knowledge of construction safety, quality control, and contract compliance.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • USACE CQM Certification.
  • USACE EM385 (40-Hour) Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance when required.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.

Preferred

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing federal projects for agencies such as DoD, DOE, FAA, FEMA, or USACE.
  • Familiarity with government construction standards and compliance requirements.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year.

Schedule

This is a full-time, permanent, traveling position requiring regular assignments throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. You'll work directly on active construction sites.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position based out of Los Angeles, CA, with nationwide travel required. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
